Frequently Asked Questions

What to know about our planned clinic, the MHOTRS model, and how to stay informed as we move toward opening.

MHOTRS stands for Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Services — the New York State licensure category (under Article 31 of the Mental Hygiene Law) for outpatient mental health clinics overseen by the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH). It allows psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy to be delivered by one coordinated team in one setting.

We are pursuing establishment approval from the NYS Office of Mental Health. We cannot provide a confirmed opening date while that process is underway. Members of our priority list will be the first to know when we have news to share.

We plan to offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, ongoing medication management, and evidence-based psychotherapy (including CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing) in individual and group formats. All services are planned and subject to NYS OMH approval.

Insurance participation has not been finalized. Please do not assume any plan is accepted yet. We will publish confirmed insurance and payment information only after the appropriate approvals and credentialing steps are complete.

Not yet. No medical services are currently provided, and we cannot accept clinical information, referrals with records, or intake requests at this time. Please do not send medical or personal health information through this website. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.

We anticipate that a first visit would include a comprehensive evaluation with a psychiatric clinician — covering your history, current concerns, and goals — followed by a collaborative treatment plan. The exact intake process will be finalized as part of our OMH-approved operating procedures.

We anticipate offering telehealth alongside in-person care where clinically appropriate and permitted under our license. Specific telehealth offerings will be confirmed closer to opening.

Our planned program focuses on adults. The populations we serve will be defined by our OMH operating certificate, and we will publish specifics once they are confirmed.

We welcome early conversations with referring clinicians and community partners about future referral pathways and continuity of care. Visit our For Providers page to share your interest — please do not send patient information at this stage.
